A man allegedly threatened his sister with a machete in front of a store in western Garapan last week.

John Borja Camacho, 57, was arrested on Friday on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault, and disturbing the peace.

A $25,000 cash bail was initially imposed for Camacho’s temporary liberty. He was taken to the Superior Court yesterday afternoon for a bail hearing.

According to a police report filed by the Attorney General’s Office in court, Camacho, armed with a long machete, approached his sister in front of Ester Fashion on Jan. 24. Camacho allegedly yelled at the victim and threatened: “Do you want me to cut your neck?”

The defendant put his hand against the victim’s neck and repeated his threat, police said.

The victim went to her car and proceeded to the Koban police station to report the incident.

In other court news, Tracy Inaba, the mother of Tennessee, a three-year-old girl who died after being declared brain dead, pleaded not guilty yesterday to the information charging her with child neglect.
