Acknowledging the importance of teamwork within an organization, the Tan Holdings is hosting a three-day team-building conference on Guam beginning tonight.

The event will be participated by over 200 Tan Holdings top executives, supervisors, and managers from Guam, the CNMI, and the Philippines.

The event is perfectly timed with the grand opening of Fiesta Resort Guam, which is set tomorrow, March 12, at 5pm.

The Guam conference has the theme “One Beat, One Team, One Vision.”

The conference logo is a dragon boat team, with a drummer setting the speed.

The whole conference, according to Tan Holdings president Jerry Tan, is “richly packed with many ideas and messages on camaraderie, teamwork, synergy, and goal setting.”

“Just like a team paddling together in a single direction with a common goal, we at Tan Holdings are also a team on our way to fulfilling our vision: to become the most admired company in the Western Pacific,” said Tan.

“Our vision serves as that guiding beat, setting the pace for our development, people and progress as a team,” he added.

Tan said that, at a time when the business climate “is as dynamic and as challenging, it is vital to find that right beat.”

He said he believes that the three-day conference will provide a valuable opportunity for all participants to get to know each other better “so that we can enjoy a more vibrant and mutually supportive working culture in the future.”

The 2006 Tan Holdings Conference begins with a fellowship dinner at 7:30pm, with Guam Gov. Felix Camacho delivering the welcome address.

The entire event will be held at the Fiesta Resort Guam.

On March 12, a whole day of team-building outdoor and indoor activities will be held.

On Sunday, all Tan Holdings companies will be given a time to report on their performance and new goals.
