PTI Jam Shooters take the driver seat
PTI Jam Shooters downed erstwhile league leader Los Cabos, 10-7, in Week 7 of the CNMI Billiard League 2005 Spring Season Wednesday night at Shooters Sports Bar.
The win allowed Jam Shooters to leapfrog Los Cabos in the points race, 58.5-58, as the league enters its halfway mark. Also leaving the Garapan billiards venue with wins were Hyatt Pomec and Ballers II.
Pomec ran roughshod over Navy Hills Boys, 8-6, to solidify its hold of third place with 53 points, while Ballers II upset Destroyers, 9.5-8, to improve to 46.5 points.
The loss left Navy Hill with 47.5 points, one rung higher than Ballers II, while Destroyers licked its wounds and limped with 49 points, good for fifth place.
One match was also played Wednesday evening at Corner Pocket and it saw Pool Junkies drive Ballers further down the cellar with an 8-5 romp.
The win allowed Pool Junkies to draw level with Destroyers with 49 points, while the loss left Ballers with 37.5 points.
Shooters Sports Bar is one of the newest billiards venue on Saipan and boasts of six billiards tables—two of which are of the nine-foot variety.
