OLEAI ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Oleai Elementary School announces that the registration for school year 2006-2007 will begin for all incoming Kindergarten and new first (1st) graders. Registration will start on Monday, April 2, 2006 and will end on Friday, April 28, 2006, from 8am to 4pm. Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old by end of August 2006 and students entering First Grade must be 6 years old by end of August 2006.
For Transfer-In students into Oleai Elementary School, (Grades 2 through 6) registration will be on June to July 2006.
Documents required for registration are as follows:
1. Birth certificate (from the court)
2. School Entrance Health certificate (CHC/PHS card)
3. Current School Accident or Health Insurance Coverage
4. Residency Map
5. Legal Adoption/Guardianship Documents (if applicable)
6. Valid CNMI entry permit (if applicable)
7. Transfer-in/withdrawal forms and report card from previous
Oleai Elementary School zone covers the areas bounded by south of Naked Fish Restaurant on beach Road, Gualo Rai, Chalan Laulau, Chalan Kiya (Golf Course), bottom of As Terlaje Hill, North of Island Market to Falaghula and San Jose (Oleai).

GARAPAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Garapan Elementary School announces that registration for kindergarten and early registration for 1st grade for School Year 2006-2007 will begin on April 3 between 7:30am-8:30am and 1:30pm-2:30pm. All interested parents are requested to bring the following documents/items with them:
– Birth Certificate (or copy)
– School Entrance Health Clearance
– Map to residence
– Health insurance card (copy)
– Valid CNMI Entry Permit (if applicable)
– Legal Guardianship documentation (notarized and recorded in court) (if applicable)
As a reminder, kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31, 2006, and children entering the first grade must be 6 years old on or before Aug. 31, 2006.
All students registering at Garapan Elementary School must live within the zoning areas of: Garapan, Chinatown, Lower and Upper Navy Hill, Puerto Rico, and Gualo Rai, (beginning at North Gualo Rai and ending at Gualo Rai Road/Mar Pac).
Registration for all on-going students will be sent to parents in packets directly from the school beginning April 17, 2006. Review the packets carefully and submit all required information.
Registration for transferring or new students (grades 2nd through 6th) will begin May 1, 2006. All registration information is necessary for students to be officially placed on the roster for school year 2006-2007. New and transferring students will be officially registered when transcripts and necessary documents have been submitted.

WSR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REGISTRATION
W.S. Reyes Elementary School will begin registering all incoming students for school year 2006-2007. The schedule is as follows:
Kindergarten: March 27-March 31, 2006
1st grade: April 3-April 7, 2006
2nd grade: April 17-April 21, 2006
3rd grade: May 1-5, 2006
4th grade: May 8-12, 2006
5th grade: May 15-19, 2006
6th grade: May 22-26, 2006
Registration will be held in the school office from 2:30pm to 4:30pm during the scheduled dates.
To be eligible to register the student must be residing within the Chalan Kanoa, Susupe, As Perdido and Chalan Piao school zone. The same goes for the rest of the grade levels.
Kindergarten students must be born between Sept. 1, 2000 and Aug. 31, 2001.
W.S. Reyes Elementary School cannot guarantee to make copies of documents. Therefore, in order to prevent unnecessary delay, parents are urged to provide the school registrar with copies of the following documents:

9. Health certificate (CHC/PHS card)
10. Health insurance (Medicaid card/student insurance)
11. Social Security number

CLEANUP BRIGADE AT LAULAU BEACH
The Division of Environmental Quality cleanup brigade will be at it again, picking up trash at Laulau Beach. If you would like to volunteer your time to cleanup and beautify our island, please meet the DEQ representative in the bright green T-shirt on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 8am. Come join us and “Pick it Up!”
The brigade cleans until am and breaks for drinks and then continues, if needed. This month, outstanding brigade volunteers who participated in at least 10 monthly cleanups will receive a brigade cap and those who participated in at least three cleanups will receive a green brigade T-shirt.

RED CROSS TRAINING ON ROTA
Attention to all Rota residents: The American Red Cross-NMI Chapter is offering a training opportunity for those who would like to volunteer for the non-profit group.
The American Red Cross-NMI Chapter will be conducting Disaster Services trainings on the following dates:
– Introduction to Disaster Services: March 31- 1pm to 5pm
– Disaster Assessment: April 1– 8am to 12 noon
– Family Services: Providing Emergency Assistance: April 1– 1pm to 5pm
All disaster classes will be held at the NMC College, Rota.

INCOME TAX FORMS NOW BEING DISTRIBUTED
The Division of Revenue and Taxation is informing all CNMI employees that the 2005 Individual Income Tax Return forms and instructions are now being distributed.
Distribution began on March 15, 2006 from 8am to 4pm at the office of the Division of Revenue and Taxation located at the Dandan Commercial Center. These forms and instructions are also available on the Department of Finance website at www.dof.gov.mp
In addition, for those taxpayers without business income needing assistance filing their individual income tax returns, window service began on March 15, through Friday, March 31, 2006 from 7:30am to 4:30pm and from April 3 through April 12, 2006 from 7:30am to 7:30pm. (PR)
