Tricia Del Rosario has made her home islands proud by making it to the prestigious National Dean’s List, the largest publication in the nation honoring exceptional college students.

Del Rosario, who graduated recently with a bachelor’s degree in Education at Northern Marianas College and now teaches at Kagman Elementary School, made the cut for the 2005-2006 29th edition of the book by maintaining a grade point average of 4.0 during her studies at the premier community college in the CNMI.

In a letter previously sent by NMC’s Joaquin M. Sablan Jr., Del Rosario was told she would be included on the list of 190,000 high achieving students representing 2,5000 colleges and universities throughout the country.

Sablan also said the college placed Del Rosario on NMC’s President’s List where superior students are highly recognized.

“Yours is an achievement that will be recorded and remain with you for all your life,” he added.

According to National Academic Affairs chair Parke H. Davis, Del Rosario received an honor reserved for only a small percentage of the nation’s college students.

Del Rosario now has been given the opportunity to compete for over $50,000 in scholarships with more than $4 million already being awarded to date.

Del Rosario will also enjoy the use of the Student Referral Service, a valuable service for students to use when applying to graduate school or seeking employment.

“In our 28-year history, we have honored college students who are realizing their dreams of higher education. We proudly continue this tradition of excellence with our upcoming 29th edition,” Davis said.

Del Rosario is the elder sister of former Miss CNMI World Tracy Del Rosario.
