Application forms for tobacco license now ready

Gov.. Pedro P. Tenorio and Lt. Gov. Jesus R. Sablan, through Commerce Sec. Frankie B. Villanueva, is notifying the general public and wholesale agents, retailers and distributors, including vending machine owners and operators, of tobacco and tobacco products in the Commonwealth that pursuant to Public Law 11-75, the Office of Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco Control will commence active regulation of the distribution of tobacco and tobacco products in the Commonwealth on June 26, 1999.

Effective June 26, 1999, all distributions of tobacco and tobacco products in the Commonwealth are required to be licensed. Wholesale agents, retail dealers and distributors, including vending machine owners and operators, may pick up license application form at the Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco Control Office located at the Department of Commerce, First Floor, Donni Hill Bldg., Capitol Hill, Saipan, from Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except on legal holidays.

Wholesale agents, retail dealers, distributors, including vending machine owners and operators, in Rota and Tinian may pick up their license application forms from of the offices of the department in the respective island municipalities.
