It’s about time
Its about time you start balancing the fees between the ferry and the airlines. Competitive business should be the means of the CNMI. Instead favoritism is sought and your airline companies like PIA and Freedom have provided service to the islands before the ferry. Allowing favoritism to the Dynasty hurts your established carriers.
I know Marianas Air stopped service due to the high tax, and the CPA’s concern when they gave the ferries free reign to the market without a head tax. The airlines paid for it. The ferry gave free transportation without being taxed for it. How can an airline compete with that. Square up CPA!

Attention DPS
This is to inform you that the next time we have a burglary at one of our shops, please don’t send police officers. We don’t need your help.
We have been in the business since 1989 and we have been burglarized close to ten times. During all these incidents, nothing ever came out of all the police work. Not once did anyone ever report back to us about their investigations if there was any done at all.
I have concluded that either the police officers are grossly incompetent and don’t care or maybe some of them are part of the problem.

Protect the park
Just a note to let you know how much I enjoyed your editorial on the American Memorial Park in today’s edition. Some of my fondest memories of Saipan are of wandering through the park, which is kept in spectacular condition. I too would hate to see anything happen that might lessen the message it sends about how much we value freedom, and the efforts of those who fought and died for it. I look forward to visiting it again on my next trip to Saipan.
