Ol’Aces trounce Diamond 92-76

Freddie Pelisamen scored 25 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and 5 steals to lift the Ol’Aces to a 92-76 victory against the Diamond Auto Care in Wednesday night’s game sponsored by the Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Islands at Ada Gym.

Wayne Pua contributed 16 points, while Jeremy Sablan had 13 rebounds, 2 block shots and a steal for Ben Fitial’s Ol’Aces.

Fernando Muleta had 18 points, 2 assists, grabbed 3 rebounds and 5 steals for the Diamond Auto Care of Reps. Diego T. Benavente and Oscar Babauta. Gary Lashey pitched in 14 points, while Lloyd Hartman, coming back from a long leave of absence dished 1 assist, grabbed 9 rebounds, 3 block shots and 3 steals in a losing cause.

Pelisamen was chosen Player of the Game.

Meanwhile, Pacific Trading Co.’s Lite trashed Len’s Bar & Grill, 94-61, to win the second game Wednessday night.

Pete Camacho hauled in 14 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and a steal, while Steve Santos had 14 points. Banjo Basila also contributed 8 assists, 12 rebounds and 2 steals for the winners.

George Poquiz had 19 boards followed by Eric Atalig with 10 points. Jimmy Sison had 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals for Len’s.
