Millennium baby Bryle Denzel Masujer yesterday collected his prizes at the Joeten Shopping Center in Susupe after winning Joeten’s Year 2000 Baby contest.

Born to proud parents Salvador A. Masujer and Madonna L. Cubero, Bryle was the first baby born on Jan. 1, 2000 at 12:40 a.m., weighing 5 lbs. and 4.5 ounces. There were three other babies born on New Year’s Day after him.

Mr. Masujer is the chief accountant of Triple J Wholesale and his wife Madonna works at the Saipan Grand Hotel.

“I am very proud and happy for all that is given,” Mr. Masujer said.

The following are the prizes given to baby Bryle:

• $200 worth of Gerber baby food from Micronesian Brokers (MBI) and Gerber;

• One case of baby shampoo, powder, lotion and baby oil from MBI and Johnson’s;

• One case of Similac every month for one year provided by Micronesian Brokers and Abbott Laboratories;

• One year supply of Luvs Pampers from D&Q; and

• $500 worth of baby formula from Nestle.

“The promotional committee decided to do something exciting for the New Year and they came up with the millennium baby contest so that they could also see who the new baby was,” said Carlene Tenorio of Joeten Shopping Center.
