On-line property locator for OFWs

Overseas Filipino workers planning to buy residential property back home can now escape the hassles of browsing real estate brochures and the classified ads.

A Philippine-based company has developed a web-based medium to help Filipinos based overseas find the right place and the right price for their dream house in the country.

Hanapbahay.com is an on-line “home-finder” developed and designed for local residential property search by Hanapbahay Inc.

The site’s principal aim is to provide consumers and homebuyers a medium for finding residential property that are either for sale, rent or lease.

The Office of the Foreign Affairs Secretary in Manila said the site is a powerful new medium for well-targeted marketing aimed at both local and overseas markets of Filipino homebuyers.

Hanapbahay Inc. is also drafting a program whereby property and asset management services may be extended to OFWs who would like to invest in local property but who do not have resources to maintain and manage them in the Philippines.
