Hyatt donates $6,000 to American Cancer Society
Adrian Slater, director for Food and Beverage of Hyatt Regency Saipan, presented a check of $6,000 to the members of the American Cancer Society as part of its continued effort to support the fight against cancer. The funds were raised through Club at the Hyatt Golf Classic Tournament and Cinco de Mayo event.
Hyatt hosted the Club at the Hyatt Golf Classics Tournament to fulfill their commitment to the fundraising goals of the American Cancer Society’s to help those in the community suffering from cancer. This is Hyatt’s effort to raise funds for the Cancer Society starting with the Relay for Life event, which is the biggest community event coordinated by the American Cancer Society in Saipan.
Club at the Hyatt Golf Classics Tournament is an annual event organized by the staff and the management of Hyatt, with the support of members of the business community, with the goal of raising funds for the Cancer Society.
This is also to raise awareness in the community of its friends and families who suffer from the terrible illness. Hyatt has always been a willing and active member in supporting and participating community events that benefit the people of the CNMI.
Not too long ago, Hyatt Regency Saipan had donated another $15,000 to the Commonwealth Health Center Volunteers’ Association to held the children of CNMI with respiratory problems and to improve the Pediatrics Ward to benefit the local children. “These are both very worthy causes and we feel very good about this effort to show our spirit of giving and commitment to the community we do business in,” says Mustafa Issa, general manager of Hyatt Regency Saipan.
