Genesis of CUC’s mess

Common sense dictates ensuring that the brain’s in gear before engaging the mouth. This doesn’t seem to be the forte of Senator Ramon S. Guerrero (Kumoi) in his dalliance with his instancy mentality.

In Washington, he abrasively insisted that taxpayers money is spent wisely in retaining Preston Gates, the nation’s third largest legal and public relations firm. Nice try, sir! Now, may I have the honor to take you on a quick trip to your recent past with, guess what: Taxpayers Money!

Do you recall appearing before the PUTC Committee in recent years and couldn’t account for the expenditure of some $99 million in taxpayers money as CUC executive director? I was there and watched how you’ve crumbled into humility when tasked to answer specific questions. You were groping for words in cold sweat because someone finally nailed you to your cross and dazed that your antics didn’t get you anywhere, right? Now, tell taxpayers (and please cut the chase) that in fact you were interested in guarding their money!

I understand too that you still owe CUC the sum of $240,000 and it would be prudent for you to explain how and why you owe that much in taxpayers money you’ve failed to pay to this day. This moronic attitude of the almighty savior or protector (small letters “a” and “s”) of taxpayers money as you claim is as real as frigid weather in hell. Cut the chase sir and put your mouth where your money is, di ba?

It’s despicable how you’ve employed your adolescent municipal-level useless political skills at the Nerve Center of the world–Capitol Hill. You were at the barbecue when scheduled to meet some critical members of Congress some of whom signed the Franks bill the next day because you stood them up, right?
Would you consistently deny what your colleagues have confirmed? Man, you must be one congenital liar who’s done nothing but confirm personal stupidity. Evidently, who in the US Senate did you meet who agreed to delete funds for Tinian and Rota? Or was this another of the “Meeting that Never Was?”

I will believe your claim to ensure wise use of taxpayers nickels and dimes if you in fact account how you’ve spent $99 million of their money and remit the $240,000 you still owe CUC. Cut the chase, sir! So what else is new other than the regurgitation of the same lies? Shame on you!

Through the grapevine, I heard that some members of the Senate here have seen fit to pressure the Department of Labor and Immigration to drop the labor case against Mr. James Lin. If you recall, Mr. Lin’s factory was raided by DOLI who found a lot of illegal aliens allegedly working for him.

It’s intriguing how lawmakers have seen fit to employ influence peddling to save a friend in trouble with local and federal laws. This is corruption, if not, a quiet obstruction of justice! I will find out the truth who are behind this scheme. Is this the price of several outings with Mr. Lin at a bar? Are you people so cheap and without integrity as to blindly attempt interfering with justice?

If and when I find names, I will revisit this issue and discuss it in greater detail. For now, gentlemen, start nibbling your fingers (including your toe fingers) because by the time I find out the truth (and this scandal goes beyond the Senate chamber), it will be published right in this space in order to let the general public know who have used influence peddling to save a law violator.
Well, friend or foe, the law must be made equally applicable to everybody, di ba?
Evidently, have you forgotten the words of the Oath of Office that includes your swearing to “uphold the laws of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands?” A` Saina!
