The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture periodically receives information on opportunities for art shows and programs open to CNMI Artists. One such information is a Call for Submissions from the International Center of Photography in New York City.

The International Center of Photography (ICP) is currently seeking submissions of photographic, photo-based multimedia, and digital media works by arts and photographers who address issues of cultural identity in America.

To provide full national representation, works by at least one photographer from every US state and territory will be considered for inclusion in an exhibition and website curated by ICP. To be considered to inclusion in the project, artists should submit the following materials:

– a current resume

– 20-40 slides of their work

– an artist statement and/or description of their work, and

– a selection of articles and reviews

Please send submissions to: International Center of Photography, 1133 Avenue of Americas, New York, NY 10036, Attn: Only Skin Deep. All materials should be received no later than October 15, 2000. Please note that all materials are non-returnable and will become the property of ICP. Should artists require more information about the project, please contact Carmenita Higginbotham, ICP Cural Assistant at 212-860-1777 ext. 503 or by email at higginbo@icp.org.
