The Philippines Overseas Labor Office is extending its arm to Filipino workers in the Northern Marianas through a regular health screening service and other educational programs free of charge.

Labor Attaché lawyer Araceli Maraya said the health screening service, which is being held every last Sunday of each month, is open to all Filipino workers and their dependents.
It provides free check up of blood pressure and blood sugar.

POLO has also been consistently launching educational and training programs aimed at helping overseas Filipinos expand their knowledge and skills on various field works.

In the last months, POLO has held training on cosmetology, basic and advance computer courses, simple bookkeeping, dressmaking and tailoring.

It is launching the Nippongo language class this month to assist workers whose job categories require further knowledge on the Japanese language.
