The Saipan Electronic Darts Association has scheduled for Dec. 9th the awards banquet for the Winter/Spring 2000 season which will be held at Charlie’s Cabaret in PIC, according to Gary Weakley, league secretary.

He reminded players to fill out all the RSVP forms distributed through team captains.

According to Weakley, Winter/Spring 2001 Bud Light Dart League season, forms are also being circulated to existing teams so that they may have first opportunity to sign up for the next season.

He noted that changes are being put in place by SEDA including upgrade of all Pacific Amusement’s dart boards to DX style. Paul Trombetta, Pacific Amusement’s president, is working closely with Merit Industries to create a computer program.

Trombetta said that Pacific Amusement has been a “beta-tester” for this software for several years. “At our request, Merit created retro-fit kits for all of our 9000 model dart machines so that we could easily upgrade to DX. Merit also finally came up with a workable system and incorporated many of the recommendations of Pacific Amusement so that the needs of our Saipan dart shooters are adequately met,” said Trombetta. “We have been waiting for this new technology for several years because the old technology which used FAX and OCR was simply not workable with the noisy phone lines of Saipan”.
