Seman named Hyatt banquet sales manager

Mustafa Issa, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Saipan, has announced the promotion of Vivian Seman as the new Banquet Sales manager. Ms. Seman joins the Food & Beverage Division from the Executive Office where she worked as executive secretary for the past three years.

As the Banquet Sales manager, she will be responsible for handling all of event planning and ensure guests get the attention and service they expect from the finest hotel. The Banquet Sales team will offer complete event planning and catering service offering a variety of options for functions as small as 10 guests to as large as 1,500. Ms. Seman is currently working on Christmas party packages for the local community.

Supporting Ms. Seman in the Banquet Department is Edmer Pangelinan, assistant Banquet Service manager, and supervisor Edwin Vida.

“I am very excited at the opportunity of working with such a great team of staff. It will definitely be an exciting challenge to create new events keeping the taste and style and maintaining the superior quality and service of Hyatt many guests have become accustomed to,” said Ms. Seman.

Replacing Ms. Seman’s position as executive secretary is Regina Torres-Ramsey, who joined the Hyatt after working for the CNMI government for the past eight years. Her last post on the government was with the Office Personnel Management, working as the coordinator for the Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace Program.

“I am excited at the opportunity to be working in the private sector, especially the tourism industry. It will be a big challenge for me” says Ms. Ramsey.
