Love angle eyed in assault and battery case

Jealousy is believed to be the reason why suspect Samuel C. Gonzales slapped the back of his friend’s head while the latter was playing poker in San Vicente late last week.

Police reports quoted the suspect’s ex-girlfriend saying that Mr. Gonzales was envious of the victim’s close friendship with her.

The incident started at the Moon Night club in Chalan Kanoa early morning Thursday when the suspect asked the victim to call his ex-girlfriend from out of the club’s dressing room.

Saying he was preoccupied at the moment, the victim refused to do what Mr. Gonzales requested. (MM)

Missing items from INO safebox

The Criminal Investigation Bureau is probing a possible theft incident at the Immigration Naturalization Office in San Antonio where more than $1,300 in cash and jewelry are reported missing.

The valuables belong to Lu-Zhi Hua, a Chinese male who was brought to the INO detention facility for processing last week.

Police reports reveal that an INO employee, who apparently had no access to the safebox, secured Mr. Hua’s items in a plastic bag and left it on top of the vault.

Items inside the plastic bag included a bracelet, a ring, a watch, a necklace and $1,395 in cash. According to the employee, an INO lieutenant later that day took the plastic bag from the top of the safebox and placed it inside. (MM)
