The 2001 Liberation Day Committee has announced the availability of application for concessionaires wanting to operate booths for the month-long Liberation Day festivities.

According to Concessions Subcommittee Chair Mark Aguon, the deadline for applications is May 18, 2001.

“We’re accepting applications on a first-come, first-serve basis,” Mr. Aguon said. “We have limited number of booths, so we encourage those who are interested to reserve their spot as soon as possible.”

There are 13 booths reserved for food, beverage and cigarette sales; 22 booths for games/games of chance; five booths for miscellaneous activity. Aguon says open space for rides is also available.

“The good news is we’re changing a third less this year for operation of food and beverage booths,” Mr. Aguon said. “Another benefit to vendors is that this year’s festivities are actually going to run for over a month.”

The 2001 Liberation Day festivities are slated from June 1 to July 4 at American Memorial Park.

Application forms and a copy of the rules and regulations governing concessionaires are available at the Saipan Mayor’s Office in San Antonio. contact numbers are 234-6308 or by fax 234-1190.
