Do you have what it takes to Escape?

It’s time to prove whether or not you can swim with the big fish or wade in the shallows with the guppies as the 2nd Annual Escape from Managaha Island is set to kick off this weekend on an island near you.

Tomorrow, June 26, over 75 swimmers from Japan, Guam and Saipan will make their way across the channel from the tiny uninhabited island to Saipan, landing on the beach behind the Hafa Adai Beach Hotel. They will be competing for cash prizes that will be awarded to the top three overall finishers.

Today is the last day to register for the event that will be conducted by KFC Triathlon of Japan. Interested swimmers who are interested can sign up at the Hafa Adai Beach Hotel from 4pm to 6pm. There will be a pre-race briefing that will take place immediately following registration for all the participants.

Entry fees are $90 will include a silicone swim-cap, an event t-shirt, the awards party, and transportation to Managaha Island, prior to the start of event.

The 2nd Annual Escape from Managaha Island event is made possible through the coordinated efforts of the Department of Public Safety, Tasi Tours, Pacific Development Inc., Northern Marianas Divers Association, Commonwealth Ports Authority, the Marianas Visitors Authority, and the Saipan Swim Club.
