The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2004 Corporate Challenge at American Memorial Park on Sunday, Aug. 22. This annual event raises funds for the Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship fund, which helps local deserving CNMI students further their education each year. All businesses and government offices on the island are invited to sign up.

“Come and join the fun as local teams compete in games that include an obstacle course, an egg toss, and fear-factor eating contest,” the group said in a statement.

Fellow employees, family members, and the public are invited to cheer on their favorite team. Prizes will be awarded to teams that have the best times in each game, and a special prize will be given to the team that has the best-decorated tent, following the day’s theme of “Patriotism.”

Businesses that have not yet registered their teams can call the Chamber of Commerce at 233-7150. Cost for a team to participate in the Corporate Challenge is $275. Set-up time for the games is 9am. The games start at 10am and will continue through the afternoon.

Last year the Saipan Chamber of Commerce raised over $4,000 that was used to help local students with their education.

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is the largest private business organization in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Through business leadership and membership involvement in community issues, the Chamber continues to develop its role as a beacon for good business on the islands, the Pacific region, and in business communities abroad.
