UP ALUMNI RAFFLE DRAWING TODAY
The University of the Philippines Alumni Association-CNMI Chapter will hold its raffle drawing today, Saturday, 6pm at the OWWA Office in Nauru Building, Susupe.
Proceeds of the fundraising event will be used in UPAA’s “Donate a Classroom” Project in the Philippines, and recognize and support deserving CNMI students.
Those who have not yet purchased tickets are encouraged to do so.
REGISTRATION OPEN FOR ANGER MANAGEMENT
The Community Guidance Center will begin the next session for its Anger Management Program on Aug. 18 from 1pm to 2:30pm in the N-5 Building in Navy Hill.
The program is an ongoing eight-week session, conducted every Wednesday of the week.
Several clients are referred to the program through the court; others are volunteer participants from the community.

AMERICORPS RECRUITING 34 MEMBERS
The Public School System’s AmeriCorps program—a federally funded program—is currently recruiting 34 members to participate in the community service and educational program.
AmeriCorps members will provide tutoring and mentoring services to CNMI youths between the ages of 6-17 at various youth centers. Members will assist students during structured youth center activities that may include homework assistance, arts/crafts, sports activities/events, computer training, etc.
Members will be awarded a living stipend for 900 hours served; and educational award of $2,362 after successful completion of the program; developmental trainings and workshops; and satisfaction of serving the youth and community in the CNMI.
Those who want to participate in the program should be U.S. citizens, at least 17 years old, high school graduate, and is drug free and posses clean police clearance.
Application and proof of eligibility requirements must be submitted by Aug. 18, 2004.

RENEWAL, ISSUANCE OF MILITARY ID CARDS
The Family Readiness Group of the Echo Company 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry would like to inform all reservists and families of the following about the issuance and/or renewal of military ID cards on Aug. 17-20 at the Reserve Center in Puerto Rico .
Families of active, reserve or veteran soldier(s) should get a new or renew their military ID cards at the Reserve Center.

ST. REMEDIOS SCHOOL OPENING
The St. Remedios Early Childhood Development Center School has announced its opening dates.
Three-year-old students will have their first day of school on Wednesday, Aug. 18. School for 4-year-olds will begin the next day, Thursday, Aug. 19, while 5-year-olds will have their opening on Friday, Aug. 20.
On Aug. 23, Monday, all students of St. Remedios will all come to school. Students should come to school before 7:30am and parents are requested to pick up their children no later than noon.
