Ayuda donates medical supplies to Rota Health Center
The Guam Ayuda Foundation, through its executive director, Sen. Carlotta Leon Guerrero of Guam, donated 27 boxes of medical supplies to assist with the immediate needs of the Rota Health Center following the onslaught of Typhoon Chaba.
The supplies were made up of bandages, gloves, pillows, scrubs, and etc. The hospital was treating many patients with minor cuts caused by them removing debris and clearing their homes.
Due to the closure of the port and the problems with the airline schedules after Typhoon Chaba, the hospital was not able to receive medical supplies on time. The hospital’s Medical Supply Room also was flooded, which led to supplies getting wet.
On behalf of Mayor Benjamin T. Manglona and the people of Rota, the Rota Health Center is extending its heartfelt appreciation to the Guam Ayuda Foundation for its fast delivery of supplies. Special thanks also go to Sen. LeonGuerrero, the Commonwealth Health Center, the Marianas Yacht Club, Dr. William S. Freeman and all those who assisted the Guam Ayuda Foundation in one way or another.
