The Attorney General’s Office filed assault charges yesterday against a man and a woman in two separate cases at the Superior Court.

Forty-two-year-old Juan Tenorio Cruz of Chalan Kanoa and 37-year-old Mildred Isimang of Chalan Kiya face criminal charges.

CNMI chief prosecutor David Hutton lodged two counts of disturbing the peace and a count of assault against Cruz. He accused Cruz of assaulting one Jacob C. Charfauros last Sept. 24.

Isimang, meanwhile, faces assault and battery and disturbing the peace charges for allegedly attacking one Jennifer Williams last Sept. 25.

The court summoned the two defendants to appear before it on Nov. 29 in connection with the charges against them.
