Veterans’ Day celebration today at AMP
The Office of Military/Veterans Affairs and the Veterans’ Day Committee are reminding people to come out and join them celebrate and honor those brave patriots who served, with unwavering dedication and purpose, to keep the world safe, and secure the freedom all Americans enjoy today.
The Veterans’ Day ceremony will be held at the American Memorial Park’s Court of Honor today, Nov. 11, at 11am. The 7th Fleet Navy Band and the Pacific Winds Concert Band will begin with the pre-ceremonial music at 10am.
Keynote speaker will be Capt. J. Stephen Maynard, commanding officer of the 7th Fleet flagship, the USS Blue Ridge. The crew of the USS Blue Ridge will also be joining in the ceremony.
The U.S. Air Force 36th Expeditionary Group out of Andersen Air Force Base Guam will perform a flyby during the ceremony.
Also, today, from 5pm to 7pm, the 7th Fleet Navy Band will perform a Big Band Concert at the Amphitheater of the American Memorial Park. It is free to all.
“We are inviting everyone, all veterans, their spouses, family and friends to come celebrate Veterans’ Day with us,” the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs said in a statement. (PR)
