A woman sued another before the Superior Court Friday for allegedly breaching their settlement involving a sum of money.

Lynie Meriveles filed a civil action against Sophia Rios, saying that the latter violated their agreement less than two months after its execution.

Meriveles’ lawyer, S. Joshua Berger, said in the complaint that the settlement between his client and Rios was reached last May 28, with the defendant agreeing to pay some $4,782.26 through monthly installments of $100.

Berger said Rios’ last payment to Meriveles was on July 23, in the amount of $50.

Berger said Rios defaulted on her payment, asking the court to compel the defendant to pay Meriveles some $4,907.67 and costs incidental to the lawsuit.
