A group consisting of principals and education board members from various schools in a district in Seoul, Korea are scheduled to visit and tour several public schools this Monday, Nov. 22, according to Board of Education special assistant Perry Tenorio.

Tenorio said yesterday that the visit is intended to familiarize these Korean officials with the school system in the Commonwealth to pave the way for future cultural exchanges between the two areas.

Tours will be facilitated by the school principals.

The group is scheduled to tour Kagman Elementary School at 10am-10:45am, Cha Cha Oceanview Junior High School at 11am-11:45am, and Hopwood Junior High School at 1pm-1:45pm.

Earlier, the group signed a memorandum of agreement to promote cooperation in the area of education and sports between the district and the CNMI.

Over the years, various cultural exchange programs have been used to create friendships between students within the Commonwealth and other countries. Other programs include the Seisa Gakuen-Marianas High exchange.
