Class action, anyone?

It is sad that some of our people who reside in Tanapag are dying from cancer or some form of unidentified illness and no one has come forward to take responsibility. The presence of fuel tanks on the island was not of our doing. The feds or the private company hired (if there was one in this case) to properly dispose the dangerous chemical must be held accountable for their actions, or in this case, their inaction.

At the very least, the feds need to conduct a risk assessment as soon as possible so that the people of Tanapag know what they are dealing with. The fact that we have known about the toxic chemicals for more than two years and there has been no comprehensive risk assessment for those living in Tanapag is frightening.

If the feds or those responsible don’t get their act together, perhaps those of us who have had family members who have passed away from cancer as I have, should consider filing a class action lawsuit to get their attention.
