Auction to raise money for SCC scholarship fund
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is inviting the public to attend its Wine & Cheese Party and Celebrity Auction, to be held Saturday, Nov. 27, at AJ’s Restaurant.
Proceeds from this auction will be used for the Chamber’s Educational Scholarship Fund, which for the past four years has helped local students pursue their education at a two-year or four-year college.
The $10 cover charge includes one free beer or wine, plus great hors d’oeuvres. A silent auction will start at 7:30pm, with the live auction at 8pm. Valuable items will be available for people to bid on, including trip packages, gift certificates from hotels and spas, and much, much more.
“You can bid on a golf lesson, a tennis lesson, swimming lessons, and even a kite surfing lesson! And Saipan celebrities have agreed to be auctioned! You can bid for a dinner with the Governor or with the Lt. Governor. Many other celebrities will be there as well, so be sure you don’t miss this unique opportunity,” the chamber said in a statement. “So bring your checkbook, your credit card, or cash and come for a great auction Saturday at 7:30pm at AJ’s Restaurant.”
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is the largest private business organization in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Through business leadership and membership involvement in community issues, the Chamber says it hopes to continue developing its role “as a beacon for good business” in the islands, the Pacific region and in business communities abroad.
