Are you planning a trip to Manila, Bali, Cairns, or Hong Kong? Would you like a vacation in Phuket, Thailand? Then be sure to attend the Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s Wine & Cheese Party and Celebrity Auction on Saturday, Nov. 27, at AJ’s Restaurant.

Proceeds from this auction will be used for the Chamber’s Educational Scholarship Fund, which for the past four years has helped local students pursue their education at a two-year or four-year college.

The $10 cover charge includes one free beer or wine, plus great hors d’oeuvres. A silent auction will start at 7:30pm, with the live auction at 8pm.

The list of valuable items to be auctioned continues to grow. Besides gift certificates from hotels and spas, fine wine, gift certificates for meals, Continental Airlines has donated two round-trip economy tickets good for travel to either Cairns, Bali, Manila, or Hong Kong. At the same time, a five-day, four night stay at the beautiful Laguna Beach Resort in Phuket, Thailand, will be auctioned off for the lucky winner.

Closer to home, you can bid on a golf lesson, a tennis lesson, swimming lessons, and even a kite surfing lesson.

Saipan celebrities have also agreed to be auctioned. You can bid for a dinner with the Governor or with the Lt. Governor. Other island celebrities have also donated their time—you may be the lucky person to have dinner with swim coach Mike Stewart or MVA managing director Vicky Benavente or others!

“So be sure you don’t miss this unique opportunity,” said the chamber in a statement. “Bring your checkbook, your credit card, or cash and come for a great auction Saturday at 7:30pm at AJ’s Restaurant.” (PR)
