The Society for Human Resource Management has invited clinical psychologist Dr. Patricia Smith, PhD, of the Community Guidance Center to speak on “resiliency” at the organization’s meeting this tomorrow, Jan. 20, 2005.

Smith’s presentation provides a forum for learning and discussion on resiliency in a format that was produced by the American Psychological Association. Dr. Smith’s presentation will be discussed during the morning session from 9:30am to 11:30am.

“This forum will help you learn more about the role of resiliency in all of our lives, different ways to build resiliency, and how some hardships may even make us stronger,” the Society said in a statement.

The meeting will be held at PIC’s Charley’s Cabaret, with the morning program to be from 9:30am to 11:30am; the cost for the morning program and luncheon is $25 for SHRM members and $35 for non-SHRM members. The luncheon will be from 11:30am to 1pm; the cost for the luncheon only is $15 for SHRM members and $20 for non-members.
