The Hopwood Junior High School Hopwood is recognizing the following individuals for their contributions to the school community:

* To the Saipan Mayor’s Office for helping the school remove the debris left over from the typhoon!

* To the PTSA organization, which donated $300 to be used as rewards for the Reading Programs.

Congratulations go out to two NMC graduates who were not only students at Hopwood, but have also come on board as new teaching staff!

* Concepcion Camacho, teaching 8th grade language arts.

* Freddy Salavaria, teaching 7th grade science.

* Welcome aboard, also, to Anne Chase, who is teaching 8th grade language arts.

* Welcome back Louie Wabol, who retired in December!

* We will sorely miss John Gatamingen, maintenance staff member, who retired.

Parents are advised that PSS is experiencing difficulty with the buses right now. “For this reason, your child may either be picked up later than usual in the morning, or brought home later than usual in the afternoon.” For more information, call the bus supervisor at 322-9457.
