RGA FEBRUARY QUALIFIER AT COP TOMORROW

The Refaluwasch Golf Association will hold its February Qualifying Tournament tomorrow, Feb. 5, at the Coral Ocean Point golf course.

RGA president Jess Wabol said the association changed its venue from the Kingfisher Golf Links to COP because of unspecified reasons.

Check in time for the competition at COP is set at 11am with tee off is scheduled an hour later at 12pm. Tournament fee is $30 and slots for 16 players are available.

Wabol said that the club is entertaining new members at the start of the year. Membership fee is $50, which is the same cost for renewals.

The membership fee covers the period from January to December. Wabol is also reminding current RGA members to take care of their membership dues as early as possible.

LITTLE LEAGUE MEETING TOMORROW

The Saipan Little League will hold a general membership meeting tomorrow, Feb. 5, 9am at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium conference room.

Participating teams for the upcoming 2005 season are requested to submit the names of their coaches and managers as well as provide the association with the required volunteer forms or background checks.

Membership dues of $5 and $500 for team entry fees are also due during the general membership meeting as well as tentative team rosters. Managers and coaches are also requested to submit their criteria for selection of all-stars, bound for regional tournaments at the end of the season, on Saturday.

SAIPAN AIKIDO MARLINS NEED PLAYERS FOR SML

The Saipan Aikido Marlins will have a mandatory tryout for walk-on sluggers and fielders tomorrow, Saturday, at the Francisco M. Palacios Baseball Field at 1pm.

The Marlins will be participating in the 2005 season of the Saipan Major League but are a little short of players to fill its roster.

CALLING ON ALL CNMI BASEBALL MASTERS

Tony Rogolifoi and Manny Tenorio are looking for baseball players ages 35 and over that will compete in a masters tournament in Guam this coming June.

Rogolifoi and Tenorio said the CNMI needs players for the 35-and-over team, as well as the 40-and-over team.
