CHILD SUPPORT SESSION TODAY

The Office of the Attorney General’s URESA Section will be conducting a Child Support Initiating Session today, Feb. 15, 2005, at the Multi-Purpose Center, from 5pm to 8pm.

The session aims to assist custodial parents with children in the CNMI in seeking child support from non-custodial parents residing outside of the CNMI.

All interested individuals should bring a copy of the child(ren)’s birth certificate and any court order or document regarding child support and/or custody.

HJHS TO DISTRIBUTE PROGRESS REPORTS TODAY

The Hopwood Junior High School will be distributing progress reports today, Feb. 15.

The Parents Teachers Students Association meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 6pm in the HJHS cafeteria

Feb. 21, Monday, is a holiday. There will be no school.

Feb. 24 will be a Student Achievement Information Night for all HJHS parents and community members. We will meet in the cafeteria 6pm-7pm. Parents will receive an overview of our math and language arts programs.

ATTENTION SCS PARENTS

Saipan Community School would like to remind parents and guardians of their students that the schedule of classes this coming Friday, Feb. 18, is full day and not half day.

GTC PTA MEETING TOMORROW

The Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School will hold its monthly Parents-Teachers Association meeting tomorrow Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 6:30pm. All parents/guardians are urged to attend.

KES RELEASES SLATE OF UPCOMING EVENTS

The Koblerville Elementary School will give out the 3rd quarter report cards of its students on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

Two days later on Friday, Feb. 18, the school will hold its Education Fair/PeaceBuilder Ceremony.

The same day would also see KES stage its Cool Kids program from 9am to 12pm. The public is being invited to attend both events.

On Saturday, Feb. 19, the school would have a Garage Sale/Spaghetti Lunch at the KES campus from 9am until 12pm.

KES is also reminding students and their parents that next Monday, Feb. 21, will be a holiday, as the school joins all Americans in commemorating President’s Day.

MEETING FOR WENO MUNICIPALITY CITIZENS ON SUNDAY

All citizens of the Weno (Moen) Municipality in the CNMI will hold an important meeting on Sunday, Feb. 20, 10am at the Garapan Central Park Roundhouse.

President Mithasy B. Mark of Ach Chuukese-CNMI Association is requesting all citizens of the municipality to attend the meeting.

FRG MEETING ON THURSDAY

The Echo Company, 100th Battalion, 442nd Infantry Family Readiness Group will have a meeting on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at the Reserve Center at 6pm.

Guest speaker is John Borja from the Community Guidance Center. Members are urged to bring their favorite dish. For more information, contact Cil Blas at 322-4363 (daytime) or SSG Dan Quitugua at 322-6680.

ESSAY, JINGLE CONTEST ON

The Chamorro-Carolinian Language Policy Commission, Department of Community & Cultural Affairs is sponsoring an essay and jingle contest for all public and private schools. Date line of submission to Chamorro/Carolinian Language Commission’s Office is Feb. 16, 2005. For more information, contact Dave Omar or Henry Sablan at 288-5321/26/27.

NMC SEEKS COMMENTS ON NEW POLICIES

The Northern Marianas College recently submitted its revision of board policies on Student Development and Facilities Management. The college is seeking community input on the published policies prior to adoption by the NMC Board of Regents. To review these policies, visit the CNMI Registrar located on Capitol Hill in the Governor’s Office.
