Stick to your job

The Saipan Tribune on Feb. 11 included a lamentation from Richard Waldo, head PSS bean counter, that only 3 percent of the teachers took the Praxis test, which was then followed by a suggestion that Waldo could teach us all for a mere $99. I find hubris in that statement, given the stories in this paper with Waldo’s name in them raising the issue of whether teachers would get their next paycheck. No wonder there has been no stampede to take the expensive test.

Perhaps Waldo would better serve PSS by sticking to his finance job and finding a way to pay all the stiffed vendors, as well as making sure PSS meets payroll, rather than worrying about the Praxis test.
