Saipan to host inter-agency leadership consortium

The Pacific Basin Inter-Agency Leadership Consortium will opens its bi-annual meeting this Tuesday, Feb. 22.

PBILC supports the development of policy and services to aid individuals with disabilities in the Pacific.

The consortium anticipates approximately 300 participants from Micronesia, Polynesia, and the U.S. mainland.

Registration begins on Tuesday from 10am to 5pm at the Dai-Ichi Hotel Saipan Beach. The kick-off activity begins with a welcome speech by acting Gov. Diego Benavente, and the signing of a proclamation naming March as Developmental Disabilities Month at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.

The proclamation will be followed by a keynote address by Mariano Camacho.

Interested individuals are urged to register for the conference. Organizers also said they would like to see as many persons with disabilities and their families in attendance.
