MAN FACES CHARGES FOR ALLEGED DOMESTIC ABUSE

The Attorney General’s Office yesterday lodged criminal charges against a man at the Superior Court in another case of domestic violence.

Assistant attorney general Jeffrey Warfield filed criminal charges against 39-year-old Raul Abordonado.

Warfield alleged that Abordonado assaulted a woman in the presence of children last Sunday on Saipan.

The charges against Abordonado include assault and battery and disturbing the peace. (John Ravelo)

2 MEN ACCUSED OF STEALING BETEL NUT

Two men are in hot water for allegedly stealing betel nut, Superior Court records showed.

The Attorney General’s Office lodged criminal charges against 25-year-old Joey C. Duenas and 36-year-old Vicente Villanueva last Thursday.

CNMI chief prosecutor Jeffrey Moots filed theft and conspiracy to commit theft against Duenas and Villanueva.
