Free personal finance workshop today
What does your financial future hold in store for you as a small business owner? Are you headed toward financial health, wealth and independence? If you’re not sure, you’ll want to attend the Personal Financial Planning for Small Business Owners workshop that is being offered during the 8th Annual June Small Business Development Month in the CNMI. The free workshop is one in a four part business series sponsored by the NMC Small Business Development Center and Commonwealth Development Authority.
This seminar will focus on a six-step personal planning process with a “how to” emphasis. The process begins with an evaluation of the participant’s current financial condition and financial goals, and concludes with creating and implementing a financial action plan. A number of tools and techniques will be identified and developed during the workshop that will enable the participants to begin their own financial planning.
Perry Conner, owner of Conner & Associates Financial Planning, will present this workshop. Conner also teaches finance for the School of Business at Northern Marianas College.
Conner earned his MBA in finance at the University of California-Berkeley. His business career focused on personal financial planning and investment advising, with a specialty in real estate development and management. For the past 15 years he has taught college and university courses in accounting, small business finance and management, and personal finance.
Conner’s workshop will be held today, June 21, from 6pm to 9pm, at the NMC SBDC Conference Room (Building T). Space is limited so call the SBDC at 235-1551 to reserve your seat.
