Car-riding robber victimizes biker

Police are now investigating the case of a woman who was robbed of her purse across a Chalan Kanoa supermarket by a still unidentified man who fled the scene using a car.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David said the suspect boarded a vehicle with its license plate bearing the number 139. Witnesses failed to identify the letters in the license plate.

David said the victim, Chinese national Ying Zhe Li, was on her bicycle across Payless supermarket when the suspect suddenly snatched her purse. The suspect fled the scene as the victim fell to the ground.

David said the victim sustained minor injuries that were treated at the scene.
