The government should let them come to the island because I believe they did not do anything wrong during the war anyway. They did not have any fault, like killed someone or something. So, I guess that’s okay for me.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with that. If that’s what the Tinian local government will do, why not, since they were part of the history. We need it so it can serve as a lesson for all of us.

Yes. They could do it. The survivors can share what they have experienced to the people of Tinian, Saipan and Rota also. I just hope that when they visit we will not have work so that we could go and celebrate with them.

I think they should not. It’s not important anymore. Why do they need to commemorate it when so many died during that war. It’s in the past already. We are in a new generation, so the visit is not that significant anymore.

No. What happened then was not a pleasant experience. I don’t see the need to relive or recall the atrocities of war, especially thinking about the magnitude of the lives lost during that attack. It’s already enough that the Japanese royal couple paid tribute and prayed for those who perished due to the cruelty of war.
