A woman complained of domestic abuse against her boyfriend after the boyfriend complained to police about being assaulted by the woman’s family.

The woman told police that 29-year-old Clark Ramako Ray banged his head against hers and bit her ear while he was having a drinking spree with her brother and two cousins early Sunday morning at her Koblerville residence.

She also accused Ray of verbally and physically abusing her on several occasions for the past three years.

In an affidavit submitted to the Superior Court, police detective Christopher Leon Guerrero said Ray admitted head butting and biting the woman’s ear.

Ray was charged with assault and battery and disturbing the peace.

Judge Kenneth Govendo initially set Ray’s bail at $2,000.

The woman informed police of Ray’s alleged abuse after lawmen responded to her residence and arrested her brother, Orlando Wabol Limes and cousin Ibwischingimal Gilbert L. Kaniki. Police separately charged Limes and Kaniki with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and disturbing the peace.

An affidavit submitted by detective Guerrero to the court alleged that another cousin of the woman, Asar Elameto, joined Limes and Kaniki in mauling Ray. However, the charging document did not name Elameto as co-defendant.

The three men allegedly punched and kicked Ray’s face and body. Elameto allegedly tried to use a baseball bat, but the woman said she managed to take it away.

Police said Ray received several stitches on the forehead. Ray also sustained large bruises on his back. He sustained the injuries after Elameto and Kaniki allegedly hit him with a baseball bat and metal pipe, respectively.

The court initially set bail for Limes and Kaniki at $2,000 and $6,250, respectively.
