Bestseller to hold countdown for latest Harry Potter book

Bestseller Bookstore would be holding a countdown for the much-awaited sixth installment of the Harry Potter series this weekend.
Marlyn Pery, manager of the Susupe bookstore, said fans of the first five books of J.K. Rowling’s tale about the adventures of the young wizard and his friends don’t need to wait any longer as Bestseller would be making available limited copies of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince starting this Saturday.
Pery said the countdown would be led by a disc jockey from Power99 before 9:01am. She said before the countdown and during store hours, there would be a lot of fun games for bookworms and Bestseller would be giving away several prizes to lucky participants.
“There would be a question-and-answer game for Harry Potter fans,” she said, adding that the questions would be based on the first five books of Rowling.
Prizes during the Harry Potter book release include two DVDs of Harry Potter and the Prince of Azkaban, Harry Potter T-shirts and $5 Bestseller gift certificates. Pery said the grand prize would be a complete set of the Harry Potter book series from the Sorcerer’s Stone to the Order of the Phoenix.
Pery said winning is easy as only a purchase of one new Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is required to enter the promotion.
She would also like to emphasize to Harry Potter fans that there are only limited copies of the book. The book retails at $29.99 and neither reservations nor discounts would be available.
Pery said the countdown is a first time for the bookstore and its release of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince would coincide with the national release of the new book at midnight.
The first five books in the Harry Potter series are The Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prince of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and the Order of the Phoenix.
