Military trainings at FDM and Tinian set
The Emergency Management Office and the U.S Naval Forces Marianas said that the U.S. military would be conducting live-fire training and aerial survey at the island of Farallon De Mendenilla and a helicopter search and rescue exercise on the North Field of Tinian Island.
The schedule dates and time are as follow:
July 5-8 7:30am to 11pm Live-fire training Farallon De Mendenilla
July 11-17 5am to 12am Live-fire training Farallon De Mendenilla
July 18-21 5am to 12am Live-fire training Farallon De Mendenilla
July 21 10am to 2pm Helicopter search and rescue Tinian
July 25 8am to 4pm Aerial survey Farallon De Mendenilla
July 27-31 7am to 12am Live-fire training Farallon De Mendenilla
July 27 8pm to 12am Helicopter search and rescue Tinian
July 29 8pm to 12am Helicopter search and rescue Tinian
Aug. 1-3 7am to 12am Live-fire training Farallon De Mendenilla
Aug. 2 8pm to 12am Helicopter search and rescue Tinian
The general location of the love-fire training and aerial survey will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla Training Area (R7201) from 15, 000 feet mean sea level on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
Due to the danger imposed by these activity, EMO is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and tour operators—to stay away from this location during the time and dates indicated.
