WSR replaces phones with new program
The William S. Reyes Elementary School has switched to a telephone program called Shoretel designed for internal telephone use within the WSR campus.
As such, the school’s telephone numbers have changed. However, callers can still dial the 664-3971 and 664-3972.
“Please make a note of it. Every classroom has a telephone extension number. Your child’s teacher will provide the classroom extension number through their monthly classroom newsletter. If you want to speak to the teacher, you can dial the school directly using the extension number. Teachers will not be able to return your call until after school. Please refrain from making a classroom telephone call during instructional time,” the school said in a statement.
For emergency calls, callers are urged to contact the office numbers. It also warned that all calls are being monitored.
“Any time you call the school office, we will entertain your call. If a call is for a teacher, we will forward your call to a voice mail. Again, the teacher can retrieve it after school. The office telephones can call out anytime,” WSR said.
This program is a first of its kind for the Public School System and WSR is the first school to receive this telephone project/service. Eventually, all the Public Schools will have telephones inside the classrooms.
The new mainline/telephone numbers for WSR offices are:
Secretary’s Office: (670) 237-3542 or (670) 664-3971
Principal’s Office: (670) 237-3541 or (670) 664-3972
