The Division of Immigration has moved for the deportation of a woman who allegedly has an expired immediate relative status permit.

Immigration investigator Nicolas T. Reyes said Min Hu failed to submit any application for her extension or renewal of her IR permit at the Immigration Processing Section.

The Superior Court has ordered Hu to appear in court on Feb. 23 and explain why she should not be deported from the CNMI.

Reyes said the respondent was issued an IR of non-alien entry permit on Aug. 2, 2004 and it expired on July 21, 2005.

Reyes said Hu failed to comply with the terms and conditions of her entry “and is therefore a deportable alien pursuant to the Commonwealth laws and regulations.”

Labor records indicate that Yon Kuan Leung was listed as Hu’s IR sponsor. (Ferdie de la Torre)
