Fifty-two Kindergarten pupils of the Sr. Remedios Early Development Center solemnly paraded along the aisle of the Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe yesterday morning to start the ceremonies marking another milestone in their lives.

Clad in white graduation gowns and mortarboards, members of the graduating class were at their best behavior, to the delight of the audience that was composed mostly of proud parents, relatives, and friends that filled the Center to witness the 54th graduation ceremony.

Lt. Gov. Timothy Villagomez himself was present not just to deliver the keynote address but to also witness his son, Timothy Luis P. Villagomez II, take the first step toward elementary school.

Villagomez, who is also the school’s PTA president, praised the school’s administration led by principal Sr. Martha Ramarui, M.M.B., and touted its reputation for providing its pupils the necessary life skills—reading and writing—that would enable them to succeed later in life.

“Gov. Benigno R. Fitial himself is a graduate of the Sr. Remedios school and tells of learning how to read and write during his time here,” said Villagomez.

In her opening remarks, principal Ramarui gave thanks to the school’s Educational Tax Credit donors.

The occasion was also attended by Sr. Remedios P. Castro, M.M.D., the school’s board of directors president Jerome Ierome, Rep. Ray Yumul, and Company E commander Franklin Babauta.

Each of the graduating pupils were given awards such as the Achievement Award, Citizenship Award, and Excellence Award.
