3 graduate from casino dealer school
Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino concluded its most recent casino dealer training school on Friday, with three individuals making up the graduating class.
“We have been training dealers for the past 10 years and despite publicizing our training school, we’ve received little to no interest from the local community,” said Casino general manager Ken Barberis. “Until now we’ve only had one local staff member working on the gaming floor, Hilbert San Nicolas, who has progressed from dealer to dealer-inspector and is now a Gaming Supervisor.”
“It was with his assistance that we were able to attract the interest of our most recent graduates: Annadez Borja, Connie Cepeda and Ringo Reyes. We hope that this trend continues,” added Barberis. “The message that we’re trying to get out there is that people can develop a rewarding career path within the globally growing casino industry.”
The career path for a dealer can lead to casino general manager and beyond. Barberis stated that he started as a dealer 32 years ago but confesses to being a slow learner!
Barberis makes the point that had there been more continued local involvement from Tinian Dynasty’s beginning 10 years ago, he might not have been assured of the renewal of his last annual contract!
