The Ladera International School of Saipan offers the first 50 4th to 8th students, ages 10-15 free summer classes this year.

“Giving back to the community is what we intend to do as we are offering a first come, first serve basis to parents who wish to take advantage of this free program for our local students,” said LISS director Wayne Pangelinan.

There are two sessions for the summer program. The summer program is scheduled on a four-week lesson providing students continued learning.

It is set for June 9-July 5 and July 5-Aug. 1, Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm.

The subjects that will be offered are Mathematics, Science, Physical Education, and English. Also, there will be afternoon programs offered for tutoring.

“Slots for students are capped and we are encouraging our local families to take advantage of what we are offering, but parents must act now and contact the school as some restrictions do apply,” added Pangelinan.

“Because we are an international school, we wish to provide better opportunities for the community where each student can meet new acquaintances that we believe would be truly beneficial for the child’s future,” added Pangelinan.

This summer, LISS is expecting students from Korea, Japan, Russia, and local students. A mixture of international students from abroad ages 10 to 15 years old will be on island to partake in the LISS summer program.
