‘Silver Streak’ entry forms available at DFS
Runners and health enthusiasts can now pick up registration forms for the 15th Annual Tom Picarro Memorial Fun Run at the Duty Free Shop Galleria front entrance.
Dubbed the Silver Streak the annual fun run/walk is held in memory of DFS Galleria’s former president Picarro, who served from 1979 to 1992. The race course follows the same route Picarro, who is silver-haired, ran along Beach Road as he waved to passers by.
The event is slated at 6am on June 21 where the final day of registration will also take place. The course will be from DFS Galleria entrance in Beach Road up to the Sherman Tank at Quartermaster Road and back.
Registration forms can be picked up from 10am to 10:30pm everyday. The entrance fee is $10 that includes a T-shirt or tank top for the first 175 finishers. The Top 3 finishers in the 13 age divisions are guaranteed to win prizes. The overall male and female winners will also be awarded trophies.
Wolf Mojica is organizing the annual 4.2-kilometer walk/run event where proceeds of the annual fun run will be donated to a local charity organization.
