Ol’Aces regained its hold of the 2008 FMI Inter-Color Basketball League after cruising to a 128-91 win over GEC Pawnshop Wednesday night at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

Fred Pelisamen and Jericho Cruz continued to be the nightmare of opposing teams as they once again toyed with their defenders combining for half of Ol’Aces’ points.

Pelisamen paced Ol’Aces with 34 points while Cruz added 33 more to secure Ol’Aces’ seventh win in eight games while handing the Pawnbrokers their third loss in eight outings.

Pelisamen scored 12 of his points in the third quarter to help Ol’Aces shatter a 50-50 deadlock at the half and give the Sonny Flores-mentored squad some breathing room entering the final canto.

Cruz then finished off what Pelisamen started drilling in 15 of his points in the final period as Ol’Aces finally put the game away.

Marvin Rabauliman, held scoreless in the opening period, netted 18 in the final three quarters while Abong Camacho scattered 15 points with Elias Rangamar and Ed Diaz ending up with 12 and 10 apiece.

Manuel Ajoste tried to rally the Pawnbrokers back into the game but failed to get the needed scoring support from his teammates. He Scored 16 of his 30 points in the second half.

Budz Camacho and Mark Wallace tallied 15 each while Mike Umali finished with 11 more.

SMF Seabridge defeated Price Costco, 96-91, in a continuation of their power outage-interrupted April 16 match.

Sonny Lerio tallied 30 points to pace SMF’s scoring while Leo Itaas added 22 more. White Capalad and Ruther Demigillo chipped in 14 markers each.

Dave Sablan’s 20 points led the Storemasters’ losing cause while Keoni Chariton and Dennis Vinas contributed 13 apiece.
