DES golf fundraiser a success
The Dandan Elementrary School and its Parents Teachers Association celebrated its successful 1st Annual Golf Tournament Fundraising held last month at the Coral Ocean Point.
This year, PTA President and Rep. Joseph Deleon Guerrero went out of his way to reach out to some expert in running a Golf Tournament so he invited Rufin Inos and Rep. Diego Benavente since they are very familiar and experienced.
Because of the economic shortfall and lack of funding, the school and its parent created a committee spearheaded by Inos and Precinct I Rep. Diego Benavente.
The team met every week to discuss a plan of action on how to lure all the golfers and other interested individuals to participate. The fundraising event raised 10,000 where the money will be used for the facilities improvement, the purchase of instructional supplies, and other school needs for all students.
Organizers of the event would like to thank all teachers, staff, school administrators of DES, volunteer parents, Reps. Ralph Torres, David Apatang, and Joseph Reyes, former Rep. & PTA vice president Benjamin Seman, Donald Flores, PTA officers Tess Camacho and Cathy Borja, James Kintol, Jerry Kintol, and Tony Taisacan.
